This Little Light of Mine - Courage, Connection, and Learning to ShiNe Out Loud

My life has been one long adventure—complete with heroes and heroines, battles between light and shadow, forgiveness and grace, joy and heartbreak… and some really good stories along the way. When I look back, I can clearly see that I’ve been on a lifelong journey to find my inner light.

I’ve actually been writing about this journey for years. Journals. Notes. Half-finished drafts tucked away for “someday.” But, somewhere along the way, I realized it was time to stop keeping these stories to myself and start sharing them.

And no—this isn’t about ego. Honestly, it scares the shit out of me.

Sharing your real story means being seen. It means being vulnerable. It means opening yourself up to misunderstanding, judgment, and the occasional keyboard warrior having a bad day. Still, there’s been a quiet, persistent nudge telling me to do this anyway. So here I am—listening… for once.

I’m sharing these adventures because storytelling is healing—for me, and maybe for you too. To me, being healed—being whole—means remembering that we are connected, and recognizing the power that lives in that truth.

When I come into alignment with my truest self—the part that is love—something shifts and compassion becomes inevitable. I heal, and others often do too. Not a bad setup, right? Love has a way of spreading when we let it. Curiosity does too. So does kindness.

My hope is that as you read these stories, something resonates. That you see pieces of yourself here. That you remember you’re not alone.

We’re all on our own version of the same journey—learning to embody the truth of who we are.
